Hey Jason, just checked out the episode and it was pretty awesome! Definitely inspriting to me since Australia & New Zealand are two of the top countries on my list I want to visit!
Unfortunately though it seems like most resources are for people applying for a work visa, which seems to only apply to people under 31. I’m 34 🙁
Is there any way to do this kind of stuff if you’re over the age limit for a work visa? Thanks!
Thanks for checking it out Matt. Yeah, it’s a bummer about the age restrictions on the visa..I am an old fart myself by visa standards so we are in the same boat on this one!
From what I can tell the only way to work on farms at our age is illegally. To work legally you can try pimping your skills via a visa app but seems like a long shot. Here is the link to read more http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/
I’ll keep my ears open on this one and if I meet anybody else that has figured out a sneaky way to do it legally will definitely get in touch.
